This page explains what runs on punbeatz.com, what gets stored, and what you can do about it. It only lists things that are actually in use - nothing is copied in from a template.
Who is responsible
Punbeatz is the music project of Anton Pycarelle, based in West Flanders, Belgium.
Every request runs through the contact form, including requests to see, correct or delete your data. I read those myself.
Analytics and advertising
Nothing in this section loads until you press "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, none of these scripts run at all.
- Google Tag Manager (container
GTM-WNB2CTJ) - loads the tags below. - Google Analytics 4 (
G-1C46QRDCJNandG-43GMJWNZV1) - which pages and beats get visited, and where visitors come from. - Google Ads (
AW-817575435) - measures whether an ad led to a purchase or a signup.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser for one year. You can change it any time with at the bottom of every page.
The beat store and checkout
My catalog lives on BeatStars. The beats, prices and previews in the store are loaded straight from BeatStars, and so are your cart and your order: when you check out, the details you fill in (name, email address, billing address, country, and company name and VAT number if you buy as a business) go to BeatStars, which handles the order, the files and the license agreement. BeatStars has its own privacy policy.
Payments, also by card, run through PayPal. The PayPal buttons only load at the payment step, and your card or PayPal details never pass through this site.
To save you typing, the store keeps a random cart ID and the billing details you entered in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device; clearing the site data in your browser removes them.
Forms
The contact form, the license upgrade form and the free beats signup are handled by Netlify Forms. What you type in the fields is what gets stored: name, email address, your message, and for an upgrade the beat title and order ID. It is used to answer you and to deliver what you asked for, nothing else. Submissions are not sold or shared.
Email list
If you sign up for the free beats, your email address goes on a list used to send you new beats and occasional deals. That list runs on Brevo. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click takes you off the list. The free downloads themselves run through BeatStars.
Hosting, fonts and embeds
The site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser) to deliver and protect the site. Fonts and scripts are served from this site itself.
Some blog posts embed a player or video from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode), Spotify, SoundCloud or BeatStars, or show images hosted elsewhere. Those load from their own servers when you open that post, under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Send that request through the contact form and mention which email address it concerns. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
